The Silent Thunder STX is comprised of a uniform body of Kydex permanently lined with leather.** The holster uses double leather belt loops to bring the butt of the firearm closer into the body. The cant is selected at time of purchase (FBI, Half FBI or Zero) with additional mounts available for differing belt sizes and/or cant.

**All Silent Thunder Holsters are leather lined with quality domestic veg tanned leather from either Hermann Oak or Wickett & Craig. We do not use imported or chromium leather.

I ordered two holsters for my Glock 19 and 34.  I had been researching this type of holster and fortunately came across a review that was very favorable.  I contacted Garrett Holsters because I always have many questions and also like to talk with the company representatives.  I spoke numerous times with a very nice and informative lady named Sheryl.  She helped me select the exact holster that would fit my needs.  The company even agreed to mark each holster "G19" and "G34".  When I received the holsters, the fit and finish was fantastic.  I would highly recommend these holsters to anyone based not only on the quality of the product but also the outstanding customer service.  I will be ordering from them company again!

I first found GI holsters when searching out a holster for a ‘hard to fit’ gun for a client. I was so impressed I knew I’d have to give them a try myself...and I’m glad I did. The fit, function and form of the holster is excellent, but that could be said of many types and manufacturers. What sets these holsters apart is the fusion of old world gun leather and modern technology. It just can’t be beat! Best of both worlds in a stylish and functional package...you owe it to yourself to own one of these holsters.

The holster is spectacular, the one issue with this holster is the snaps are extremely difficult to snap on. They just need breaking in, I used pliers to snap them on and off until it was broken in enough to do by hand, tape of some sort should keep you from scuffing the snaps.

Over the years, I have ordered several holsters from GI and have been pleased with all of them. I typically go with IWB holsters as most of my assignments are plain clothes, but I needed a good holster for my duty gun (1911) that I could take on and off easily. This holster rocks! It keeps the gun close to the body and like others, the loops are very sturdy. I will say the snaps have to be broken in, but they eventually begin to close easier. My next order will be for my Wilson CQB carry, but still debating OWB or IWB.

Nicely made holster. Nice leather lining. Holster is not bulky. Loops are very sturdy. But the snap loop arrangement did not hold my HK P7 close enough, at least for my gun. I recommend going with the IWB versions.
