The Silent Thunder Fusion is a composite holster that combines incredible thinness, unbelievable comfort and extreme durability. The Fusion consists of a thin layer of suede for comfort, adhesion/non-slippage, and ventilation - NO EXPOSED HARDWARE; a layer of thin closed cell foam which contours to your body, rounds out control surfaces of the weapon and provides a sweat barrier; and a thin layer of Veg Tanned Leather providing a smooth surface for the weapon, quiets presentation and serves as the anchor point for the entire system. This same leather lines the Kydex front further quieting presentation and eliminating the harshness of Kydex next to your weapon. Scroll down for more description...

The Silent Thunder Fusion will quickly become your 'go-to' IWB/conceal holster. Designed for long duration comfort, the ST Fusion is the perfect blend of materials and design for your every day carry (EDC) weapon. But, hybrid holsters such as the ST Fusion and ST Solo are not for everyone; please read below completely before selecting the Silent Thunder Fusion.

Silent Thunder IWB Vs. Fusion or Solo? I am asked this question many times and it all comes down to this:

What do you expect from the holster?

If you are looking for a holster that you put on in the morning and take off at night then the Fusion or Solo may be right for you. But if any of the following apply to your situation, you may want to default to the Silent Thunder IWB.

If you:

  • Have to remove the holster several times during the day (interview rooms, jail, work place, post office, etc) The Silent Thunder IWB lends itself to removal and replacement much better than the Fusion or Solo.
  • Want to perform multiple practice presentations daily. The Silent Thunder IWB will make you much happier in this regard as reholstering is a breeze given the rigid back.
  • Competition: The Silent Thunder IWB will be the best choice, (in IWB) for IDPA and other such events. The Solo and Fusion are not built for these activities.
  • Want adjustable retention or one-handed reholstering, the Silent Thunder Fusion is not appropriate as its main concern is ALL DAY COMFORT.

Ok, it sounds like the Silent Thunder IWB is the clear winner! So why do we even offer the Fusion or Solo?

The Fusion and Solo are for a different kind of buyer. There are a lot of people in the world that do not perform multiple presentations, compete, or have to remove the holster during the day. These customers are looking for something that can be donned in the morning and worn for hours without discomfort. They don’t care about how it reholsters or that it is not built like a tank. They want to be comforted by having a means of defense and they are not paying a price in discomfort to keep said weapon handy. This is not to say that the Silent Thunder IWB is uncomfortable. It’s just not as comfortable as a cushy composite back.

In the end it’s all about your lifestyle. We build holsters that can accommodate you, not the other way around.

Amazing! November 24, 2018
Reviewer: Paul Fox from Nebraska
This was the first holster I bought for my S&W Shield. Since then, I’ve only had to buy one other, which was to allow for appendix carry. This holster is truly amazing. It’s extremely comfortable, retains well, and sits securely in the belt. The only problem I had with it was when the leather lining started separating from the kydex at the top, but a little Gorilla glue solved that problem. Excellent, and worth every penny, as all the other reviews will tell you.

Great Holster! September 29, 2018
Reviewer: Russ Hamilton from Scottsdale, AZ United States
I bought this holster in Jul 2018 so I've spent several months evaluating it. I'm a retired state trooper and a police firearms instructor - this is my second GI holster. Garrett came though again and produced an excellent, well made holster, the Fusion is truly outstanding, very concealable and has held up - I carry an HK VP9 in it. I bought mine with the Fusion nylon clip. As with any holster I suggest you break it in by inserting and removing the pistol multiple times, over and over before use, then put it on and practice drawing a few times with an UNLOADED handgun.  This is a really nice holster, it's very concealable and extremely comfortable. If you need a holster that goes on and off a lot I suggest you pick a different one as this one takes a little work to get off and on because of the dual clips. The pistol is well secured - I can hold it upside down, shake it and it won't fall out. I'm extremely happy with this holster and would buy another.

Second Silent Thunder July 12, 2017
Reviewer: Michael Sneary from Columbus, OH
This is my 2nd Silent Thunder Fusion. One for my M&P 2.0 and another for my M&P Shield. I've been through holster after holster like most of us, and this one is the "end all, be all" for me. It just has everything you'd want in a quality holster and conceals great...oh and great comfort on top of that!

I'm actually very sad they are out of stock right now because I really want one for my 1911, like now lol!

100% Excellence! June 3, 2017
Reviewer: Michael Sneary from Gahanna, OH United States
Hands down best holster I've ever worn! The suede backing is so comfortable and the leather lining is exactly what I needed to protect the cerakote finish on my M&P 2.0

My other kydex holsters all left wear marks, where as this one is just smooth. I actually almost sold my 2.0 because I've had trouble concealing it. This holster resolved that issue, so much so, that I'll be getting the STX 2.0 OWB as well. Buy one, you will NOT be disappointed!! A little pricey, but worth every last penny!!!!

Exceptional Fusion Holster May 17, 2016
Reviewer: James Davis
I recently received a Fusion holster for my FNS 40 Compact, also an exceptional EDC with the perfect blend of power, capacity and ergonomics. I only buy top-of-the-line holsters for my top-of-the-line pistols. So, I decided to obtain a Fusion. I already have tried the Solo's and IWB, ALSO exceptional holsters; however, for this pistol, the Fusion is very desirable: beautiful, very well made, SOOO COMFORTABLE and functional. So, functional, that I can completely conceal my FNS 40 Compact IWB with a large size T-shirt. Folks, it doesn't get better than that. I'm also going begin gifting Garrett holsters to my relatives and friends who are law enforcement. Just a superb holster.
