The Silent Thunder STX is comprised of a uniform body of Kydex permanently lined with leather.** The holster uses double leather belt loops to bring the butt of the firearm closer into the body. The cant is selected at time of purchase (FBI, Half FBI or Zero) with additional mounts available for differing belt sizes and/or cant.

**All Silent Thunder Holsters are leather lined with quality domestic veg tanned leather from either Hermann Oak or Wickett & Craig. We do not use imported or chromium leather.

I have always bought leather holsters over kydex due to not wanting my guns all scratched up. Then I came across Garrett and their leather lined kydex line. The day the holster arrived, I wore it out while running errands and was totally happy with how it fit and felt. I carry a Glock 45 and with the leather holsters, the gun would dig into my side when riding in vehicles, not a problem with the STX. Holstering the gun was much easier and I like the tension adjustment option. I do believe I have found my new favorite holster manufacturer.

I had been searching for an owb holster for my CZ 75 D Compact PCR for a while and came across this company.  I really liked the design of this holster, and loved the kydex outside with leather lining, as well as the leather snaps for attachment.  I find this attachment method to work perfectly for my needs.  I received the holster in a very short time.  This holster fits my CZ perfectly and I really believe it is the very best holster I have ever owned.  In almost 40 years of carrying and shooting handguns, I have never found a better holster.  Please do yourself a huge favor and get a Silent Thunder STX with Leather Belt Loops; I promise you will not regret it!

I ordered two holsters for my Glock 19 and 34.  I had been researching this type of holster and fortunately came across a review that was very favorable.  I contacted Garrett Holsters because I always have many questions and also like to talk with the company representatives.  I spoke numerous times with a very nice and informative lady named Sheryl.  She helped me select the exact holster that would fit my needs.  The company even agreed to mark each holster "G19" and "G34".  When I received the holsters, the fit and finish was fantastic.  I would highly recommend these holsters to anyone based not only on the quality of the product but also the outstanding customer service.  I will be ordering from them company again!

I first found GI holsters when searching out a holster for a ‘hard to fit’ gun for a client. I was so impressed I knew I’d have to give them a try myself...and I’m glad I did. The fit, function and form of the holster is excellent, but that could be said of many types and manufacturers. What sets these holsters apart is the fusion of old world gun leather and modern technology. It just can’t be beat! Best of both worlds in a stylish and functional package...you owe it to yourself to own one of these holsters.

The holster is spectacular, the one issue with this holster is the snaps are extremely difficult to snap on. They just need breaking in, I used pliers to snap them on and off until it was broken in enough to do by hand, tape of some sort should keep you from scuffing the snaps.
